Inclusive Work
Creating roles that fit people, not the other way around
I work with organisations to strengthen how they approach inclusive employment moving beyond policy into practical, meaningful change.
My focus is simple: how do we create opportunities that genuinely work for disabled people, rather than expecting people to fit into rigid, pre-defined roles?
This includes exploring customised employment an approach developed in the United States, which I studied during my Churchill Fellowship. It challenges traditional recruitment by asking a different question: what if the role doesn’t exist yet?
Within most organisations, there are untapped tasks, gaps, and opportunities that align with an individual’s strengths, interests, and potential. When approached properly, this creates value for both the organisation and the individual.
I work with both employers and individuals to:
Review current inclusive employment practices
Identify barriers and missed opportunities
Explore and design customised roles
Build confidence in recruiting and supporting disabled employees
Connect organisations to the right support and resources
This is about shifting thinking from limitation to possibility, from process to people.
If you’re ready to take a more practical, human approach to inclusive employment, let’s start a conversation.
